Sign up to Safety is a NHS patient safety campaign launched in July 2014, aiming to reduce avoidable harm to patients by 50% within three years
We signed up to the campaign in October 2014 and its five pledges to:
- put patient safety first
- continually learn
- be honest
- collaborate
- be supportive.
What we’re doing
To support the campaign, we’re focusing our efforts on these areas:
- maternity – reducing the number of obstetric anal sphincter injuries
- medicine errors – reducing the number of medicine errors when patients leave hospital
- the deteriorating child – improving care for young patients whose health is rapidly deteriorating
- malnutrition – improving how we recognise and treat patients at risk of malnutrition.
