New equality impact assessment guidance

Equality Impact Assessments (EIA) form the basis of good practice in developing, reviewing or transforming policies, functions and services to ensure that they are not discriminatory.

We have a legal duty to assess whether an EIA is needed, to justify that decision, carry out the EIA and finally, to publish the report and action plan on our website.
