King's Health Partners

On 10 April 2008 Guy's and St Thomas' formally announced, with King's College London, King's College Hospital and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trusts, our commitment to create what will be the largest Academic Health Sciences Centre (AHSC) in the UK.  This AHSC has been named King's Health Partners.

On 9 March 2009 we received formal accreditation from the Department of Health.

By bringing together one of the world's leading research-led universities and three of London's most successful NHS Foundation Trusts, King's Health Partners will create a centre that integrates world-leading research, teaching and clinical service to deliver real improvements in care for both local people and patients from further afield.
