"I am one of 15 in the staff bank. There’s a good working atmosphere – the work can be pressurised and we have strict timescales, but everyone has a 'pitch in' mentality, which makes life a lot easier.
"I work with 2 administrative staff processing the timesheets for all our bank temporary staff. I started as a temp and have been able to move on and up into my current (permanent) post and completed an NVQ in customer service.
"I like the fact that I have received a huge amount of support and encouragement from colleagues and managers.
"It's hard to pick a favourite part of the job, as I get to speak to a large number of people, resolve pay queries, produce spreadsheets and reports and influence policy making. Bizarrely, I really enjoy it when I get a chance to create spreadsheets or a new report!
"This is also a really friendly place to work with frequent social events, ranging from small department outings to large Christmas parties.
"Working in an open plan office has also meant that I tend to speak to people I wouldn't normally interact with on a purely work basis."
