Aim
We provide training in operative skills for basic and intermediate level laparoscopic surgery.
Who should attend?
London obstetrics and gynaecology trainees at ST3-5 levels.
Fee: £350, plus a £200 deposit (refunded on the return of the training box).

Outline
The 5 half-day sessions include lectures, videos, demonstrations and practical training.
Modules and topics include object manipulation and hand eye co-ordination, laparoscopic entry techniques, use of energy sources and devices, laparoscopic management of ectopic pregnancy, laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy and laparoscopic suturing techniques.
Each trainee is lent a laparoscopy training box (laprotrainer) to take home to practise the skills learnt at each session.
