The Trust is committed to continuously improving its clinical and non-clinical services.
As well as putting patients at the heart of everything we do, we work hard to ensure that staff at all levels have the skills and support needed to improve efficiency and effectiveness within their services. We place great importance on staff engagement as well as training and development.
Our flagship Fit for the Future programme has delivered £236 million in efficiency savings over the past three years and is the central programme driving service improvement across the Trust.
Other examples include the TOHETI programme, a large-scale project to transform how we manage and deliver imaging, which is supported by Guy's and St Thomas' Charity.
We have also introduced 'Omnicell' cabinets which supply a wide range of products used in our operating theatres and we are working with The Health Foundation on a new 'Amazon-style' procurement service.
