Biography

Nikolaos Karydis was appointed as a consultant at Guy’s Hospital in 2015. He is the principal investigator at Guy’s for two international multi-centre clinical trials in vascular access (Laminate, VALUE). He also teaches medical students on a regular basis (honorary senior lecturer, King’s College London). More recently, he has taken on the role of joint training programme director for transplant surgery trainees (London Deanery).

  • Surgical innovation in vascular access for dialysis (VasQ external support device for arteriovenous fistulae)
  • Uterine transplantation as a novel treatment for absolute uterine factor infertility in humans
