Our unit provides an extensive cancer management service for all aspects of colorectal cancer, specialising in multi-visceral resections for advanced primary cancers. This includes:
- diagnosis, multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment
- all colorectal cancer surgery
- posterior, anterior and total exenteration for complex cancer surgery
- rectal cancer ultrasonographic staging
- family history clinics for advice, screening and further genetic referral if required
- laparascopic keyhole surgery
- fast track diagnostic investigations for suspected cancers
Mr Mark George is the colorectal cancer network chair, and so our unit is fully involved in all cancer developments across the region.
