Sickle cell disease is a multi-organ disorder. You may experience attacks of severe pain, bouts of chronic anaemia and damage to their kidneys, lungs, brain, eyes and other organs. We monitor these health complications at our clinics.

Patient support group
We hold a patient support group every Tuesday, 6pm - 7.30pm at the South Wing Committee Room, St Thomas' Hospital. This support group is for patients with sickle cell disorders who are seen at our department, and their family members and/or carers.
