Maternity care

We encourage GPs to use choose and book to refer patients for maternity care.

We primarily accept referrals from the local catchment area of Lambeth, Southwark and parts of Lewisham. See the list of postcodes we accept referrals from| (Word 36Kb) or contact the antenatal clinic on 020 7188 8002.

Women can self refer by submitting a completed referral form (at  the top of this webpage) to the antenatal clinic either by sending to fax 020 7188 0670, or by post or by hand.

We also accept referrals from GPs for women outside of this area who have underlying medical conditions or other clinical need to deliver at Guy's and St Thomas' rather than their local hospital.

Please note for referrals:

  • use the standard antenatal referral form at the top of the page
  • urgent referrals (eg late bookers) should be marked as such
  • the EDD (estimated date of delivery) and/or LMP (last menstrual period) must be stated on the booking form.
