Help for people with disabilities
The Direct Enquiries website gives accessibility information to help you plan your travel to, and getting about within, our hospitals. See accessible information for:
Wheelchair access
All pedestrian entrances at Guy's and St Thomas' are suitable for wheelchairs. There are disabled toilets in key locations around both hospitals, including the main reception areas.
Sensory impairment
Signers can be arranged to help during your visit. Please call the number on your appointment letter to let us know what help you need or call 020 7188 8815. Please give us as much notice as possible.
Induction loops are available in the main receptions of both hospitals.
Guide dogs may accompany you during your visit, but please give the clinic staff as much notice as possible so they can accommodate this. Please call the number on your appointment letter.
Parking
Parking is free if you are a patient who is a registered disabled driver (and hold a blue badge) on the day of your appointment only. You will need to show you appointment letter to security staff to receive an exit ticket. Although parking at both hospitals is very limited, we do our best to help disabled patients arriving by car.
At St Thomas', there are some parking places for disabled drivers in the visitors’ car park, although there are occasions when the car park is full and you might need to wait.
At Guy's, the security staff do their best to make sure that disabled patients, and drivers who are dropping off or collecting disabled patients, are given priority. There is an NCP car park close to the hospital and security staff will be able to direct you.
See our parking page for more information.
