The staff caring for you may need to ask your permission to perform a particular treatment or investigation. The information on these pages explain our consent policy, which recognises laws such as the Human Rights Act.

If there is anything you don’t understand, please ask the staff caring for you. They will be able to answer your questions or give you more information.
