Review patient clinics are operated within the haemophilia reference centre including treatment prophylaxis, hepatitis, orthopaedic review, paediatric review, H.I.V. monitoring, treatment and advice.

Anticoagulation services

The main anticoagulation service within the Trust is located at Guy's Hospital. The service provides follow-up outpatient care for patients on short term or long term anticoagulation therapy, as well as diagnostic tests related to thrombotic disorders.

Clinical nurse specialists within haemophilia provide a community nurse outreach service which supports patients in maintaining their independence at home. They teach patients with haemophilia from a young age how to give themselves intravenous injections of replacement clotting factors, going into schools and running nurse-led clinics in the community.
