Consultant to lead the London Cancer Alliance

Professor Arnie Purushotham

A Guy's and St Thomas' consultant has been appointed to lead the London Cancer Alliance. Professor Arnie Purushotham has been confirmed as Clinical Director along with Dr Shelley Dolan as Associate Clinical Director.

Professor Purushotham has extensive experience in clinical leadership. He is a consultant surgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas’ and Professor of breast cancer at King’s College London.  He is also Director of King’s Health Partners Integrated Cancer Centre and is King's Health Partners Clinical Academic Group lead for cancer.

Professor Purushotham said: "I am very pleased and excited to have been appointed to this role. I look forward to continuing to build strong relationships with colleagues across the Alliance, and welcome the opportunity to help deliver integrated care pathways, which will reduce inequalities in patient care and improve cancer outcomes and experience."

The Trust is part of the London Cancer Alliance, which along with 17 other Trusts, was set up to deliver improved cancer care for patients across south and west London.
