Friends and Family Test results - August
Friday 27 September 2013
Inpatients who completed a Friends and Family Test question at Guy’s and St Thomas’ in August gave our hospitals a score of 79. A&E patients gave it a score of 52. Both ratings have improved since July.
The Friends and Family Test is a national initiative which enables inpatients and A&E patients to say if they would recommend their care to friends and family.
Chief Nurse Eileen Sills says: "Our aim is to make sure that every patient in our care has the very best experience possible - feeling welcomed, well cared for and treated with respect and dignity.
"We are doing everything we can to make sure that this happens. I say to all our patients: "’Your views really do count and will help us make a difference to the care we provide in the future’."
From 1 October, women using our maternity services will also have the opportunity to complete the Friends and Family Test.
