A breastfeeding mum

Many new parents will experience anxiety and sleepless nights if their new baby needs support to breast feed. Now help is on hand as a new breastfeeding support cafe opens in Dulwich.

Local breastfeeding mums and pregnant women can get advice and support about breastfeeding techniques at the Albrighton Community Centre breastfeeding support cafe.

The cafe is one of five support groups run by Guy's and St Thomas' community services in Bermondsey, Rotherhithe, Peckham and Dulwich.

Research shows that women who breastfeed in the first six months after giving birth reduce the risk of conditions such as osteoporosis and can improve the future health of their babies - giving them the best start to life.
