The Christmassy display at the Coronary Care Unit.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Guy’s and St Thomas’ as fantastically festive decorations are brightening wards for patients to enjoy.
Christmas stars, trees, home-made bunting and some rather interesting reindeer heads can be found all over the Trust.
After a competition was organised to decide which hospital ward or community unit had the best decorations on display, the Coronary Care Unit at St Thomas’ emerged victorious.
Marie McDonald, Director of Nursing, Adult Services, says: “It’s a busy time of year and, as always, our staff have gone the extra mile by adding ‘interior design’ to their daily workload.
“The offices of the Chief Nurse, Chief Operating Officer and Medical Director have been to all clinical areas this week and we have heard directly from many patients how much they appreciate the effort.”
