20160217-LGBT history month

Strike a pose on the rainbow zebra crossing at St Thomas’ Hospital when you join us to celebrate Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) History Month.

A celebration will take place in birdsong corridor at St Thomas’ Hospital on Thursday 25 February which will include live music, cake and a range of information stalls. Information and badges will be given out in Atrium 2 at Guy’s Hospital on Tuesday 23 February. Both events run from 11am-2pm.

LGBT History Month is also a chance to join the LGBT forum or the straight allies – a group for heterosexual staff who want to support their LGBT colleagues.

Jayne King, co-chair of the LGBT forum, says: “LGBT History Month is one of the highlights of the year for us in the forum and it’s a pleasure to able to share it with staff, patients and visitors. We were really proud to bring together more than 300 people last year and we hope to welcome even more this year.”
