We’re celebrating World Antibiotics Awareness Week from Monday 12-Sunday 18 November.
Do you know that antibiotics cannot cure viral infections like colds or flu? Antibiotics are essential medicines to treat infections caused by bacteria but it’s vital that we use them correctly to help prevent resistance.
Around 700,000 people die each year worldwide from antibiotic resistance. By 2050 it’s estimated that this figure could rise to 10 million.
Meet our pharmacy team and find out more about how you can help keep antibiotics working at our drop-in event.
You will also become an antibiotic guardian. Make your pledge and get a free cupcake.
We will also be holding events on Thursday 15 November at Evelina London Children's Hospital and at Guy's Hospital on Friday 16 November.
