Update on nursing and ambulance strike action

Wednesday 1 February 2023

The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has announced that industrial action will take place at NHS trusts across the country on Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 February.

The strike action will impact all our hospital and community sites.

We are working with the RCN to make sure we can continue to provide key emergency and urgent services on the strike days.

However, to help us safely manage the impact of the strikes, some routine and non-urgent appointments and procedures will need to be postponed on 6 and 7 February.

We'll contact you directly if your care or your child's care is affected to rearrange your appointment as quickly as possible.

London ambulance strike action

Ambulance workers are planning strike action on Friday 10 February.

If you or your child need medical help or advice, go to NHS 111 online unless it is a life-threatening emergency when you should still call 999. Ambulances will still be able to respond in these situations, but this may only be where there is an immediate risk to life.

Please continue to check back for further updates on how the strikes will affect our services.
