Andrew Williams


Consultant colorectal pelvic floor surgeon


Andrew Williams has been a consultant colorectal surgeon at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust since 2003. He is the clinical director of the pelvic floor unit and lead clinician for the enhanced recovery programme for patients having major colorectal surgery. 

He has a keen interest in the treatment and surgery for inflammatory bowel disease, including:

  • surgery for recurrent Crohn's disease
  • ileo-anal pouch reconstruction for ulcerative colitis

Andrew is the treasurer of the Pelvic Floor Society.
