Area of expertise: cancer, general, genomics education and training
Pooja has been practising for close to 10 years as a general and cancer genetic counsellor. She has extensive experience in cancer, general and prenatal genetics.
She has expertise and holds a specialist interest in facilitating information transmission across cultural and language barriers. Additionally, Pooja has been involved in cancer and general genomics mainstreaming projects in her past roles.
Pooja has worked at the West Midlands Regional Genetics service for over 9 years. She is an honorary lecturer at University of Birmingham and delivered aspects of the MSc in Genomic Medicine. She has a keen interest in genomics education, and facilitates training of health professionals nationally.
