Radha Ramachandran undertook her specialist training in chemical pathology and metabolic medicine at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. She did her sub-speciality training in adult inherited metabolic diseases training at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square and Evelina Centre of Inherited Metabolic Diseases.
During this time she was awarded an NIHR Fellowship and undertook research under supervision of Professor Sir S R Bloom. Her doctoral research focussed on evaluation of current and novel biomarkers for neuroendocrine disease.
She has an interest in education, and currently organises a postgraduate training programme for specialist registrars in clinical biochemistry (south London).
