Dr Nicholas Price qualified from the University of Birmingham Medical School and undertook specialist registrar training in infectious diseases and general medicine in London. During this time, he was awarded a MRC Clinical Training Fellowship to research matrix metalloproteinase regulation in human tuberculosis at The Hammersmith Hospital/Imperial College (formerly Royal Postgraduate Medical School).
Nicholas became a consultant at Guy's and St Thomas' in 2005 and became the Trust's Director of Infection and joint Director of Infection Prevention and Control in 2009. His specialist clinical interests include tuberculosis, vascular graft infection and tropical diseases.
