Rachel Hilton has been a consultant nephrologist at Guy's and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust since 1999.
She is currently Honorary Treasurer of the British Transplantation Society and co-chairs the British Transplantation Society Living Donor Forum. She is a member of the Kidney Advisory Group for NHS Blood and Transplant and of the Department of Health Safety of Blood Tissues and Organs Advisory Committee.
She trained in nephrology at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington and Hammersmith Hospital and was a senior registrar in the renal unit at Guy’s Hospital between 1997 and 1999. The research for her doctorate in immunology was conducted at Imperial College under the supervision of Professor Robert Lechler.
