Mufaddal Moonim joined Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in 2006.
His subspecialist interests are in the diagnosis of leukaemias and lymphomas, thyroid and endocrine tumours, osteoarticular pathology and interventional cytology.
He specialises in fine needle aspiration of lumps and bumps and minimally invasive cancer diagnostics. He is part of the 'One stop' head and neck FNA clinics and EBUS services, both of which have significantly reduced the time it takes to make a confidant diagnosis of cancer.
He is senior author of the national adrenal cancer dataset and is also secretary of the UK Endocrine Pathology Society (UKEPS).
Education and training
Mufaddal trained at the Tata Memorial Hospital, a dedicated tertiary cancer centre as an oncopathologist.
