  • Biography

    Mr Jonathon Olsburgh was appointed to Guy's and St Thomas' in 2006. He performs laparoscopic "keyhole" assisted surgery so that a relative or friend can donate a kidney for transplantation. 

    Mr Olsburgh also treats general urology patients, with a particular interest in day case surgery, benign prostate disease including laser prostate surgery and urinary tract infections (UTI).  

    His academic interests include urological aspects of transplant surgery, UTI and basic science research of the urothelium -  the specialised lining cells of the urinary tract.  This has potential applications in treating urinary tract cancer, infection and diseases that require surgical reconstruction of the urinary tract.
