  • Biography

    Kate qualified from Cambridge in 1989. Her postgraduate medical training included three years as an MRC Training Fellow whilst completing an MD for which she was awarded the Langdon Down Medal by the University of Cambridge.

    Kate joined GSTFT in 2001 as a subspecialty consultant in maternal fetal medicine and is the lead obstetrician for the Combined Cardiac Obstetric Service for pregnant women with heart disease.

    Kate was Clinical Director for Women’s Services from 2011-2014. Since 2011 she has been deputy medical director and became Responsible Officer in 2016.

    Kate is chair of the SE London Maternity Network and Clinical Lead for the maternity stream of the Our Healthier South East London programme. She is a member of the London Maternity Strategic Clinical Network and the London Commissioning Advisory Group for maternity.
