Coronavirus: orthodontics update

Coronavirus: orthodontics update

Due to increased demand on the hospital because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic we are having to make significant changes to our services.

After clinical review, all routine orthodontic appointments have been cancelled, and the orthodontic emergency services at Guy's Hospital have moved to a virtual, video consultation platform. This service is available for all patients under our care from Monday to Friday, 9am-12 noon, and can be accessed through the NHS Attend website.

Please access your virtual appointment by using a smartphone, laptop or tablet, using Chrome (version 72).

During the video consultation, we will offer advice and may arrange to see you at the hospital.

Please do not come to Guy's Hospital unless you have an appointment.

In the meantime, please ensure that you are maintaining oral health by brushing twice daily, using a fluoride mouthwash and interdental cleaning, as recommended, and reduce the amount of of sugar and carbonated drinks you have.

Please visit the main Trust coronavirus (COVID-19) page for more information including the actions we are taking to care for patients and reduce the risk of spreading the infection.
