Coronavirus: orthodontics update

Due to increased demand on the hospital because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic we are having to make significant changes to our services.

After clinical review, all routine orthodontic appointments have been cancelled, but for our own patients we are still running orthodontic emergency services at Guy's Hospital.

We are not running virtual appointments for orthodontic emergencies.

If you have an issue with broken braces, or any other orthodontic emergency, please attend floor 23, Guy's Hospital between 9-11am, Monday to Friday.

In the meantime, please make sure that you are maintaining oral health by brushing twice daily, using a fluoride mouthwash and interdental cleaning, as recommended, and reduce the amount of sugar and carbonated drinks you have.

Please visit the main Trust coronavirus (COVID-19) page for more information including the actions we are taking to care for patients and reduce the risk of spreading the infection.
