How do I get an appointment

You can be referred to our clinics by your GP.

  • Changing or cancelling your appointment

If you need to change or cancel your appointment, please tell us as soon as possible by calling 020 7188 5900.

  • Before your appointment

Before the appointment we ask that you complete some questionnaires. This will give us an idea of the symptoms you have and how they affect your daily life. There are no right or wrong answers and they are simply a guide for us.

  • What to expect at your appointment

This clinic offers a one stop consultation for patients who have a confirmed diagnosis of fibromyalgia. You will have individual appointments with the our team which consists of specialist physiotherapists and psychologists. Most patients will not see a doctor as part of the consultation. If you need to see a consultant you will be referred to a clinic where a consultant rheumatologist is part of the team.

Each appointment can take up to 30 minutes. Please allow two hours for your entire clinic visit.

We have a holistic approach and aim to provide you with greater understanding of your condition. We provide recommendations for treatment and self-management appropriate to you based on the current available evidence.

We are unable to provide follow up appointments in this clinic and in most cases we do not perform investigations. If you require a second opinion on diagnosis this is best provided by your local general rheumatology service.

  • After your appointment

After the clinic appointment, you and your GP should receive copies of the clinic letter summarising what was discussed at the appointment and providing recommendations for treatment.

You should make an appointment with your GP to arrange onward referrals and medication as appropriate.
