Making a referral
We accept referrals for headaches from GPs in:
- South East London CCG
- Central London (Westminster) CCG (part of North West London CCG)
- Wandsworth CCG (part of NHS South West London CCG)
- City and Hackney CCG
All GPs must use the NHS e-Referral Service (e-RS).
We won't process any referrals sent by email or post from GPs.
NHS consultants at other hospitals can email referrals to us.
A consultant screens all referrals to see if your patient is suitable.
Fast track cluster headache clinic referrals
Patients must have a confirmed or probable diagnosis of cluster headache. They must be having a cluster headache attack, or expecting to be soon.
GPs should use e-RS for referrals to the fast track clinic. To make sure it is fast tracked, please email your patient's details and relevant information to [email protected].
Consultants can email referrals to [email protected].
We only accept referrals for patients under the care of a headache specialist if they cannot see their usual consultant in the next month.
We'll see them for a one-off appointment for advice and treatment until they can see their usual headache specialist.
For any questions about referring to the fast track clinic:
Our nurse specialist will contact the patient. If appropriate, we'll offer an appointment within 2 weeks.
