Involving patients in research studies
The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) publishes information about clinical research activity taking place in trusts around the country in conjunction with the Guardian newspaper each year.
This shows the number of clinical research studies taking place and the number of patients who take part.
How are we doing?
Guy’s and St Thomas’ carries out more research studies than any other NHS trust in London, and is in the top three trusts nationally.
We conducted 494 research studies in 2015-16, 7.6% more than in 2014-15 and showed the fourth biggest increase in research activity of any NHS trust in England.
