We are asking for applications to be submitted from 1 January 2017 at 00.01am to 31 January 23.59pm to

Any applications received before or after this time window will not be considered.

About the scheme

These voluntary placements are only open to UK pharmacy undergraduates (i.e. students currently studying for an MPharm, or equivalent, degree programme).

The main focus of the internship will involve project work which individual tutors will set for their students; these may be in clinical or non clinical areas.  Each summer intern will be assigned to a tutor who will be responsible for the programme for their student(s) which would include visits to other areas of pharmacy; there is no guarantee that visits to all areas will be provided.  Summer interns will gain an in-depth insight into advanced practice in their tutor’s specialist area(s).

The summer work experience is a separate process to pre-registration training and being unsuccessful for summer work experience has no influence over pre-registration training recruitment.

Applications are considered on merit and there will not be any interviews or selection tests.  We only accept pharmacy summer internship application forms and these will form the basis of any offers. We will not consider blank or part-filled applications with a CV attached.

To help us plan and allocate tutors it is important that you clearly state which month you will be available for your summer placement experience.

As we receive a large number of applications, we are unable to contact everyone individually. If you do not receive a reply from us 4 weeks after the deadline has passed, please assume that you have been unsuccessful
