nurse open day

Dedicated nurses are being sought to work in two of London’s biggest hospitals and across Lambeth and Southwark.

Newly qualified and experienced nurses are invited to an open day at St Thomas’ Hospital on Friday 23 May 2014 from 10am to 2.30pm.

Each hospital ward, department and community team from across Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust will be showcasing their work and the employment opportunities they offer.

Nurses will have the chance to meet ward staff, visit different areas of the hospital, and get first-hand information about what it’s like to work at the Trust.

Michele Gardner, lead nurse for recruitment, says: “We hope our open day will allow candidates to get a good sense of the ward they would apply to work on with the chance to meet potential colleagues and have a look around.

“Our district and community nursing teams will also be at the open day to show our different nursing career options outside of the hospital setting. We’re lucky to have London on our doorstep and can offer unique career opportunities.”

The Trust employs more then 5,000 nursing staff across St Thomas’, Guy’s and Evelina London Children’s Hospital and community services in Lambeth and Southwark.
