Trust gets thumbs up from staff survey

91% of staff at Guy’s and St Thomas’ would recommend the Trust to friends and family in need of care or treatment – much higher than the national average of 79%.

In addition, 77% of Guy’s and St Thomas’ staff would recommend the Trust to friends and family as a place to work – much higher than the national average of 63%.

The Staff Friends and Family Test, published on Thursday 27 August, reports the views of thousands of NHS employees in England.

A total of 1,690 Guy’s and St Thomas’ staff took part in the last Test, which was carried out in May and June this year.

Ann Macintyre, Director of Workforce at Guy’s and St Thomas’, says: “I am pleased that our staff continue to have positive views about working here and it’s good to see the improvement in our rating in the last quarter.

“Importantly, our staff also continue to recommend the care that we provide to patients.”

“Thank you to the many staff who took the time to complete the last Test – it provides us with a very important insight about how staff are feeling and what we need to improve to deliver even better care for patients.”

The next Staff Friends and Family Test will be carried out over the next three weeks.
