Events to celebrate National Healthcare Science Week are taking place on Monday 14 March at Guy’s Hospital, Atrium 1, and on Friday 18 March at St Thomas’ Hospital, Central Hall from 11.30am to 2pm on both days.

National Healthcare Science Week is an opportunity to highlight the vital work of healthcare scientists and to explain how science and technology are vital in modern patient care.

Nearly 800 healthcare scientists work at Guy’s and St Thomas’ in areas including physiological science, bioinformatics, life sciences, medical physics and clinical engineering. They will showcase their work with fun and interactive demonstrations.

Dr Keith Ison, lead healthcare scientist and Head of Medical Physics, says: “Healthcare science underpins so much of what we do at Guy’s and St Thomas’. We’re keen to share our work and show how healthcare science is helping patients.”
