The nominations stage of the 2016 elections to the Council of Governors closed on Tuesday 19 April.

As a Foundation Trust, we are accountable to our local communities and our staff through our membership and the Council of Governors which includes elected representatives of the public, patients and staff – as voted for by members.

The voices of our patients, members of the public and staff are vital in ensuring that our services meet the needs of our communities now and in the future.

We received a total of 32 nominations for 8 seats on the Council of Governors, and the breakdown is as follows:

  • 16 in the public constituency (for 3 seats)
  • 12 in the patient constituency (for 3 seats)
  • 4 in the staff constituency (for 2 seats in the non-clinical staff group)

Voting will open on Wednesday 11 May when ballot papers will be sent to members. Please see the statement of candidates (PDF 179Kb). Find out more information about the valuable role played by our governors.

You may only vote for candidates standing for a seat in the constituency for which you are a member. Please contact the membership office on 020 7188 0007 or email [email protected] if you would like any more information, including to clarify which constituency you are in.
