The maternity unit at St Thomas’ will host a special broadcast of ITV’s This Morning to celebrate the incredible work that midwives do.

Holly Willoughby, the show’s presenter, will be based in the maternity unit at St Thomas' where she will speak to midwives and parents.

During the broadcast you can also see what happened when Ferne McCann leant a hand to a team of community midwives, and Dr Ranj, who used to work as a doctor at Evelina London Children’s Hospital, went back to the Neonatal Unit.

Lynne Pacanowski, Director of Midwifery, says: “Being a midwife is a really rewarding job, but to have the opportunity to celebrate all the great work that midwives do makes it even more special. They say no two days are ever the same but I still didn’t expect we’d end up live on This Morning!”
