Assisted conception unit (ACU)

We’ve directly contacted the 136 people who had their eggs or embryos frozen with us between 12 September and 19 October 2022 using a solution that may have been affected by the external manufacturing issue.      

We are supporting those who may have been impacted, including through our counselling service and a dedicated phoneline for them. We cannot share details to protect the confidentiality of our patients, but we have seen embryo survival, successful embryo transfers, pregnancies, and live births, and we’re talking to those impacted about their individual circumstances. 

We want to reassure you that if you have not been contacted by us, you are not affected by this issue.
