About the centre
The thrombosis and thrombophilia centre is unique in the UK as there are no other units where consultants are dedicated to thrombosis and thrombophilia.
We serve the largest group of patients with antiphospholipid syndrome in the world, and other patients with rare and difficult thrombotic problems and thrombophilias. Our cutting edge research and enormous experience of difficult and rare thrombotic conditions means we attract patients from all over the UK.
We aim is to educate patients so they fully understand their own disease and lead as normal lives as possible.
