Male cardiovascular health clinic

Description:
The clinic aims to help male cardiac (heart) patients who are experiencing sexual problems. This affects a large proportion of cardiac patients, usually as erectile dysfunction, which is where there are problems achieving or mantaining an erection.

Mammography

The breast imaging unit provides an imaging service for patients who have been referred from their GP or hospital consultant because of breast symptoms such as a lump, nipple discharge or pain.

Maxillofacial Prosthetics Unit

Description:
The Maxillofacial Prosthetics Unit provides facial and body prostheses that are needed due to trauma, birth defects (congenital malformations) or surgery (for example, tumour removal).

Medical physics provides scientific and technical support to a wide range of clinical and support services within the Trust.

Medical toxicology information service

Description:
Medical Toxicology Information Services (MTIS) provide 24 hour telephone information services to a wide variety of organisations.Emergency scientific & medical services (eSMS), Chinese medicine advisory service (ChiMAS), Guy's and St Thomas' poisons unit (GTPU), veterinary poisons information service (VPIS)

Metabolic bone clinic

Description:
This clinic provides specialist services for osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases.

Microbiology

Description:
The infection service runs a number of specialist clinics for direct referral of patients with non-acute conditions. The outpatient services are based both at St Thomas' and Guy's Hospitals and focus on virology, microbiology and infectious diseases.

Molecular diagnostics laboratory - skin tumour unit
