Jon has 14 years’ experience working at Director level. His roles have spanned clinical operations, service modernisation, performance improvement, human resources and workforce planning, as well as initiatives such as the National Patient Access Team and NHS franchising.

Amanda Pritchard, Chief Executive of Guy’s and St Thomas’, says: “I am very pleased that we will be welcoming Jon back to the Trust as our new Chief Operating Officer.

“Since his move to Southend, Jon has not only had the opportunity to experience a different organisational culture and new approaches but also as Deputy Chief Executive he has broadened his experience of both the internal and external agendas, particularly through working in partnership with other NHS providers and national teams at NHS England and NHS Improvement.”

Jon says: “I am very much looking forward to returning to Guy’s and St Thomas’. There are many unique challenges, as well as fantastic opportunities, at a Trust of this size and complexity.

“Across the NHS we are experiencing significant change, particularly as we are now expected to work in a more collaborative way to deliver high quality care and service transformation for a wider health economy. It is positive to see that Guy’s and St Thomas’ is helping to lead the Sustainability and Transformation Plan for South East London, and I look forward to contributing to this.”
