Her appointment was approved at a full meeting of the Trust's Council of Governors, which includes elected representatives of patients, members of the public and staff.

Dr Harvey says: "I am absolutely delighted to be joining the Board of Guy's and St Thomas' and to have the opportunity to use my experience and skills to benefit patients and the local community."
