Patients collecting their prescriptions from our hospitals' outpatient pharmacies – located in Lambeth Wing at St Thomas' and inside the Sainsbury's store on Great Maze Pond at Guy's – will notice a new name above the door from Thursday (1 September), following the recent sale of Sainsbury's pharmacy business to Lloyds Pharmacy, which affects all of its pharmacies in the UK, including those at other hospitals.

Our outpatient pharmacies will continue to run 'business as usual', only the name above the door has changed, and the retail store at Guy's remains as Sainsbury's.

Tim Hanlon, the Trust’s Chief Pharmacist, says: "Since Sainsbury's took over outpatient pharmacy services in April 2013, there have been greatly reduced waiting times with a high degree of satisfaction. We aim to build on this success with Lloyds Pharmacy."
