Nearly 2,500 staff are taking part in the Trust’s 2012 Challenge.

The Challenge launched in May following a staff consultation which called for ideas on how the Trust could celebrate the London 2012 Games and leave a lasting legacy.

Staff must complete activities in the five themes of the Olympics; getting active, volunteering, fundraising, changing the way we work, and creating positive memories of 2012.

Since the launch, staff from across Guy’s and St Thomas’ (including our community colleagues), have risen to the challenge in spectacular fashion. Participants have been inspired to run marathons, trek mountains, cycle to Paris, host sports competitions, bake-offs, quiz evenings, and one member of staff even walked 45 miles to get to work.

Well done to everyone taking part, and keep up the good work.
