See inside the new Cancer Centre at Guy's – before it opens

Monday 18 July 2016

Our new Cancer Centre at Guy's.

Quarterly drop-in sessions for staff and the public have been held throughout the three years which it has taken to construct the new Cancer Centre at Guy’s Hospital.

As the opening of the building to patients this autumn approaches, the final drop-in session will take place inside the Cancer Centre from 5pm-7pm on Tuesday 26 July.

This is a unique opportunity for a ‘sneak peek’ inside this stunning new centre before it opens to patients.

There will be a chance to hear from speakers including Dr Maj Kazmi (Clinical Director of Cancer Services), Alastair Gourlay (Cancer Centre Project Director) and Diana Crawshaw, who leads the Patient Reference Group which has played a key role in shaping the new Cancer Centre at Guy’s.

There will be stalls showcasing:

  • the building and installation of medical equipment
  • new technology to be used within the centre
  • information about the art installations
  • clinical services for patients
  • fundraising.

There will be also be an opportunity to view the ‘villages’ in the new Cancer Centre and to see artefacts unearthed during construction by the Museum of London Archaeology.

Everyone is welcome, no need to book a place in advance.
