Visit the Cancer Centre as part of Open House London
Thursday 18 August 2016
More than 750 buildings of architectural interest – many of which are not normally open to the public – will open their doors over the weekend of 17-18 September.
At the Cancer Centre, we will be offering seven tours a day, each lasting around an hour. They will include the chance to meet some of the design partners and project managers who can offer insight into the complex thinking, planning and construction behind this new London landmark.
Patients have been heavily involved in work to design the Cancer Centre. Their contribution at all stages has helped to make sure that the building is designed with patients in mind. As a result, it is the first place in Europe to locate radiotherapy treatment above ground level.
