BRAZIL

Staff from around the globe who make up the diverse workforce at Guy’s and St Thomas’ are gearing up to support almost every nation competing in the World Cup.

Nurses, porters, biomedical engineers and catering managers are just some of the staff celebrating the diversity within the Trust by coming together to support their nations playing in Brazil.

Messages of support and pictures of staff with their nation’s flag will be shared on the Trust’s Twitter account throughout the tournament.

Staynton Brown, associate drector of equality and human rights, says: “London is an incredible city where people, regardless of background and culture, live side-by-side, working together to create vibrant communities.

“Guy’s and St Thomas’ is a microcosm of London. Our colleagues bring a wealth of creativity, culture, experience and expertise to their roles. The benefits of a diverse workforce can be seen in everything we do each day and help us to provide the best possible care for our patients.”

Follow the Trust on Twitter at @GSTTnhs and use #WorldCupWorkforce to share your support and see pictures of our staff with their national flags.

Good luck to every team competing!
