Francesca Forzano
Consultant in clinical genetics and honorary senior lecturer at King's College London
Biography
Dr Francesca Forzano started working as a consultant in clinical genetics at Guy's in July 2017. Before joining our hospital, she worked in clinical genetics at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London and in the Clinical Genetics Unit at Galliera Hospital in Genova, Italy, where she was deputy head for seven years, three years of which as interim head.
Francesca has been involved in many national and international committees, working on policy developments and research in clinical genetics. She is currently Chair of the Public and Professional Policy Committee (PPPC) of the European Society of Human Genetics (ESHG).
Education and training
Dr Francesca Forzano did her undergraduate training at Univeristy of Genova, Italy. She subsequently trained in clinical genetics at Galliera Hospital, Genova, Italy, and held honorary fellowships at the clinical genetics departments at Great Ormond Street Hospital and St George’s Hospital in London.
