Biography

Jun Cheong is an honorary consultant cardiologist at King’s College London and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. He specialises in ischaemic heart disease, valvular heart disease, and advanced cardiovascular imaging. He is also the medical clinical director at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. He is known for his patient-centred approach and his commitment to delivering the highest standards of cardiovascular care.

He has trained at some of the most prestigious cardiology centres in the UK, including:

  • Addenbrooke’s Hospital Cambridge
  • Royal Papworth Hospital
  • Essex Cardiothoracic Centre

He further honed his expertise through a Cardiac MRI Fellowship at the world-renowned Royal Brompton Hospital, and successfully completed the Management and Leadership Programme at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School, equipping him with the strategic and leadership skills to drive innovation in clinical services.

Jun Cheong’s clinical and academic interests are focused on:

  • Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Imaging, including advanced echocardiography, cardiac CT, and cardiac MRI

He remains actively involved in education, contributing to the advancement of cardiac imaging techniques and evidence-based cardiology.
